Join us as we commemorate Nathan Gottschalk’s contributions to the PVS as Music Director from 1956 to 1993 with our third annual Nathan Gottschalk Memorial Dinner. This year, we will present Gottschalk Awards to Gary Steigerwalt and Robin Stone.

Mr. Steigerwalt's performance as soloist for this season's opening concert marks his seventh appearance with the PVS since 1977. The recipient of numerous prestigious awards, he has appeared with symphony orchestras throughout the United States and Europe. He is Professor of Music at Mount Holyoke College, where he has taught piano since 1981.

Concertmistress of the PVS for 22 years (1970- 1993) and an orchestra member for many years before that, Robin Stone has devoted her post-graduate years to teaching piano, strings and ensembles, both privately and at various prep schools and colleges. She also maintains an active concert schedule, performing on piano, violin and viola.

Festivities will include a lovely dinner and a silent auction of many irresistible gifts and services. You won’t want to miss it!
